Jan Hartman is a professor at the Jagiellonian University of Kraków, a philosopher especially interested in bioethics. He is well known in Poland for his commentaries on politics and current affairs, particularly on anti-Semitism, bioethics and populism.
Hartman was invited to London by KOD UK and the Presidential campaign committee of Robert Biedroń (Left). On 14 March 2020, he gave a lecture on “Religion and ethics in the post-liberal age”. Later on, he answered questions, mostly about the presidential campaign in Poland. We feel very grateful to Hartman for carrying out his visit as planned despite the pre-pandemic panic, which had been already widespread in March.
